12 May Chrissy Teigen Celebrates Her Breast Implants
Chrissy Teigen is known for her openness, honesty, and always speaking her truth—including when it comes to her breast implants. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular procedures at Dr. Shaun Parson Plastic Surgery & Skin Center, and many women trust Scottsdale’s “Top Doc” when it comes to getting the breasts they’ve always wanted and deserved. Like a lot of women, Teigen loved the results of her breast augmentation. However, unlike most other women, she took it a step further and held a celebration for her breast implants’ ten-year anniversary.
She told Glamour UK that she initially got breast augmentation surgery when she was 20. At the time, she explains, “It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!” Many women can relate. Those with smaller breasts might feel self-conscious in revealing clothes or outfits, such as a swimsuit which is designed to restrict rather than showcase breasts.
However, in the past decade, a lot has changed. Teigen says she now wants a breast lift, which is a common desire post-partum.
The Benefits of Breast Augmentation
At 20 years old, having children was far from Teigen’s mind. She says, “then you have babies and they [your breast] fill up with milk and deflate and now I’m screwed.” This, of course, isn’t necessarily the case for everyone. Every woman, and her breasts, respond differently to childbirth and nursing. Breast fluctuation and skin elasticity are unique to every woman. Plus, whether or not a woman has breast implants below or above the chest muscle plays a role in how her body may respond to pregnancy, childbirth, milk production, and nursing. Post-pregnancy breast contours are impossible to predict, and some women’s breast implants are virtually unchanged even after multiple births.
Still, whether or not you’ve finished having biological children is a consideration when undergoing breast augmentation. If you’re like Teigen, you may choose breast augmentation surgery even if you think you’ll have biological children in the future. If your breasts do change when you’re post-partum, you can always opt for a second procedure. This might be another breast augmentation or, like Teigen, a breast lift (though she hasn’t scheduled that surgery yet).
When asked if she changed the size of her breasts during her breast augmentation, Teigen said, “I kept them the same cup size. I just filled them out, so they are rounder and firmer.” Today, women have a lot more options when it comes to the shape and texture of breast implants compared to several years ago. Teigen explains, “I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line.”
Is Breast Augmentation or a Breast Lift for You?
Many women, especially if they become biological mothers, might struggle to understand whether a breast augmentation or breast lift is right for them. Teigen is now considering removing her implants and strictly undergoing a breast lift to remove the stretched, lax breast tissue that is very common post-partum. She’s in a similar situation as a lot of women.
The only way to determine which procedure is right for you is with a consultation. Right now, Dr. Parson is offering virtual consultations for all surgeries including breast augmentations and breast lifts for just $100. You can discuss your goals and questions with Dr. Parson without having to leave your couch, and rest assured that you’ll have a proposed treatment plan designed just for you.
Breast augmentation is so popular because it allows women to personalize the size, shape, and texture of their breasts with incredible accuracy. Others who are happy with their general breast shape and size might be a better candidate for a breast lift. In other cases, a combination of these two procedures may be beneficial. It all depends on the current state of your breasts and the look you’d like to achieve.
