About This Project

Explant Patient 28

52-Year-Old Female | Tummy Tuck, Breast Implant Removal with Lift, and Fat Transfer

This 52-year-old patient came to Dr. Shaun Parson seeking a more natural and rejuvenated appearance. Her goals included removing her aging breast implants, lifting and reshaping the breasts, improving abdominal contour, and maintaining upper body volume without the use of new implants.

Dr. Parson performed a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) to address abdominal laxity and excess skin, along with breast implant removal (explant) and a mastopexy (breast lift) to reshape and elevate the breasts. To help maintain volume and achieve a natural contour, 75cc of autologous fat was transferred to each breast.

At just 9 weeks post-operative, the patient is healing well with early results already showing a balanced, refreshed, and natural-looking silhouette. She is expected to continue seeing further refinement as her body continues to heal.

Procedures Performed:
• Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
• Breast Implant Removal (Explant)
• Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
• Fat Transfer to Breasts (75cc per side)

Recovery Timeline

This patient is currently 9 weeks post-operative, and her healing is progressing as expected. Initial swelling and bruising have significantly subsided, and early scar maturation is underway. While some residual swelling may persist, especially in the abdominal area, her final results will continue to refine over the next 3–6 months.

Patients undergoing combination procedures like tummy tuck, explant with lift, and fat transfer can expect a recovery timeline that generally includes:

  • First 1–2 weeks: Focused rest, limited mobility, and managing swelling with compression garments

  • Weeks 2–4: Gradual return to light activities, with most patients cleared for driving and basic routines

  • Weeks 4–6: Introduction of more regular movement and non-strenuous exercise

  • 6+ weeks: Noticeable improvement in shape and comfort, with scars beginning to soften and fade

  • 3–6 months: Continued refinement of contour and volume, with near-final results visible by this time

Dr. Parson provides detailed post-operative care instructions and schedules multiple follow-up visits to monitor healing and optimize results. Every patient’s recovery experience is unique, but comprehensive support is provided every step of the way.
