What is involved in a breast augmentation procedure?
We want you to be fully knowledgeable about breast surgery so you will know what to expect. Breast augmentation is an outpatient surgery, normally takes about 2 hours, depending upon which anesthesia our board-certified anesthesiologist administers.
For the first 24 hours after surgery, you will need a responsible adult who can help you with taking your medications, eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom. You can expect some discomfort; however, pain medications, as well as antibiotics will be prescribed for you.
You will receive additional information during your initial consultation, as well as on the day of your surgery.
